Ankle fracture, also called broken ankle, is a common childhood injury and involves 1 or more of the bones of ankle joint. Usually, the tibia or/and fibula are more often fractured than the talus. Injuries at the ends of the tibia and fibula typically involve the growth plates. Growth plates are the developing tissues at the end of long bones that grows in length and determinate the shape of the adult bone. They are made up of cartilage, a rubbery and flexible material. The growth plate is the last part of the bone to harden, so it’s very vulnerable to fractures. Even the smallest twist of the kid’s ankle may result in severe fracture of ankle bones.

Sports or other activities, where the sudden twist of ankle is common, may result in fracture. Sport trainings involving supination of foot and jumping, such as football or basketball may put children at higher risk for ankle injuries.

Twisting force causes the ankle fracture and/or strain or sprain the ligaments and joint capsule.

Our paediatric ankle brace AM-OSS-03/CCA is made of high quality innovative fabric ActiveSpace and AeroSpace.

ActiveSpace™ is a spacer, polyamide 3D lamination with high skin ventilation. It is very lightweight, consisted of 2 layers. Between them, we use polyamide braids. ActiveSpace™ is not elastic what improves stabilization. Inside the lamination, between 2 layers, the air flows freely, maintaining minimal water and moisture absorption. Waterproof material.


AeroSpace™ is an innovative new generation raw material. It is a distance elastic 3D knitted fabric consisting of two layers of facings and an interlacing that creates the appropriate thickness of the raw material and has relieving properties. The knitwear is made of the highest quality polyester yarn - guaranteeing high mechanical strength and spandex ensuring its proper flexibility. This material is characterized by a very low weight, high flexibility and a very large openwork structure, allowing for very easy drainage of sweat from the body and bringing fresh air to the skin. Products made of this raw material are neutral to the secured joint, do not heat or cool it, but ensure its proper compression and fit and reduce muscle vibrations generated during physical exertion. Its thickness and 3D structure perfectly relieves the orthopedic splints, stays or other elements mounted on the product and guarantees velvety softness to the touch.

Our ankle brace AM-OSS-03/CCA is equipped with the highest quality BOA® Fit System. The particular elements of the system are produced by well-known worldwide manufacturer, which was used primary in snowboard shoes.

BOA® Fit System

In orthopaedic field the compression system was adapted early and it’s used in e.g. ankle, wrist or back braces. The system is characterized by firm fastening that is non-elastic, easy and secure. There is impossible to lose (only in case of damage) it what guarantees the best stabilization.

Our BOA® Fit System provides different levels of compression. It’s based on differential polyamide grommets, steel wires covered by plastic and knobs. The additional equipment is the special element that is easy to attach what allows to modify device’s shape or circumference.

The BOA® Fit System is the best compression solution which allows to putting brace in easy and fast way without any laces.

Additionally, our ankle brace AM-OSS-03/CCA consists of figure 8 straps, which offers an even greater level of support, by further limiting the range of motion of the ankle. At the ends of the straps we added special finger handles which allow the child attach the strap easily and adjust required level of joint compression.

Special anatomic-shaped lateral pads, made of ABS, increase the stabilization in frontal plate and protect the ankle against the external forces.


Your kid can use our ankle brace AM-OSS-03/CCA as a protection against the injury e.e.g in sport activities or after contusion as an excellent immobilization. The brace may be used in any type of sport shoes. Due to the fact that our brace is equipped with semi-rigid lateral ABS pads and CCA compression system, it’s a great replacement to traditional uncomfortable plaster cast.
